Meet Dr. Hurst
Dr. Hurst grew up in North Carolina in a YMCA-focused family. Being a competitive athlete and a trainer for athletes during high school naturally led into his study of health and physical education at Wake Forest University and Appalachian State University.
Dr. Hurst graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois in 1985 and has been licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Chiropractic Examiners since 1987.
He worked alongside a local chiropractor until he decided to open Rowan Chiropractic Clinic in 1997.
He has held a Proficiency Certificate in Torque Release Technique from the Holder Research Institute since 2002 and Advanced Proficiency Certificates in Torque Release Technique since 2007. He has received direct instruction from Dr. Jay Holder, the originator of the Torque Release Technique. In fact, Dr. Hurst is one of only a handful of chiropractors in NC who hold the Advanced Certification in TRT. Because of this, a number of clients travel up to 2 hours just to experience his specialized treatment!
His chiropractic practice and clients have a special place in Dr. Hurst’s heart but family is his pride and joy. You’ll meet his wife Janie as she keeps his office running smoothly.
